Corrections

Material factual errors should be corrected promptly and transparently. Substantive corrections should explain what changed and when; minor spelling or formatting fixes may be made silently.

Takedown requests

We assess requests based on accuracy, public interest, source safety, privacy, legal obligations and whether a less restrictive correction or anonymisation would address the harm. A request does not guarantee removal.

How to raise a concern

• Identify the article and disputed passage.
• Explain the alleged error or harm.
• Provide reliable supporting material.
• State whether you seek a correction, anonymisation, update or removal.

Submission deletion

A person who submitted an unpublished report can use the deletion-request form and the private deletion key issued at submission. We may need additional verification where the key is unavailable or legal preservation is required.
